As a point A to point B person, I've never been much good at stopping along the way, which makes my life rather ironic because my family was constantly stopping along the way as we crisscrossed the world and paused for things like flowers, hitchhikers, and landslides. I am still learning through continued cross-cultural life and years of being a mother and a teacher that most important things in life happen in those "interruptions" along the way, and I might miss something serendipitous if I don't stop. My writings are an attempt to capture a few of those moments.
